Anti-irritants from camomile flower

UNIGOLDEN has the full range of the key active substances of the well-known calming effect of camomile flower (Chamomilla recutita L.): (-)-Alfa Bisabolol, Azulene and Apigenin, all them with a tested anti-irritant efficacy. UNIGOLDEN is also the unique company that provides these three ingredients from natural origin. (-)-Alfa Bisabolol, for example, comes from controlled and renewable crops of Candeia (Eremanthus erythropappus (DC.) MacLeish) tree and owns the USDA ecological certification. (-)-Alfa Bisabolol has a high anti-irritant activity especially when the skin has been injured by mechanical or physicochemical processes  (shaving, waxing, sun, skin of babies …). Azulene has been historically the first active anti-irritant isolated from essential oil of camomile flowers. It holds a high efficacy for relieving both mouth irritations and those produced during the application of depilatories. Its elegant blue color also allows its dual use as active ingredient and colouring substance for cosmetic products. Apigenin is a flavone with a very high antioxidant and anti-irritant activity, particularly against those processes derived from the activation of the immune system (skin sensitisation and allergies), through the antihistaminic pathways. UNIGOLDEN has launched Actigold Apigenin that improves the bioavailability, solubility and effectiveness of this substance.
